The Vanbrugh along with pianist Michael McHale, who are in the middle of a nationwide tour, will perform in Waterford tonight and then in Limerick on Friday and in Dublin this Saturday.
They are in Waterford on 8th February at the Waterford-Music Large Room City Hall, Waterford. Tickets cost €15 (€5 Students) at door.
While on Friday they play the Belltable, Limerick with costing €17 (€15). For further information call 061 953400.

The programme includes Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Piano Quartet No.1 in G minor, Charles Villiers Stanford: Piano Quartet No.1 in F major, and Antonin Dvořák: Piano Quartet No.1 in D major Op.23
The dark and dramatic Mozart, from 1785, is one of the first pieces written for this combination of instruments. The Stanford and Dvorak come from different worlds: Dublin-born Stanford under the towering influence of Brahms and Schumann, while the Dvorak comes from his lyrical world of Slavonic song and dance.
The Vanbrugh has emerged from the legacy of the legendary Vanbrugh Quartet. Over three decades the ensemble has given close to three thousand concerts, presenting the chamber music repertoire to audiences throughout Ireland, UK, Europe, the Americas, and the Far East.
The Vanbrugh includes Keith Pascoe (violin), Simon Aspell (viola), and Christopher Marwood (cello) of the quartet continue to carry the torch together as the nucleus of The Vanbrugh.
For the current concert season (2017/18) they present works from the piano quartet repertoire in collaboration with the acclaimed pianist Michael McHale.
Michael McHale (piano) was the winner of the Terence Judd / Hallé Award in 2009. Belfast-born Michael McHale has established himself as one of Ireland’s leading pianists and has developed a busy international career as a solo recitalist, concerto soloist and chamber musician.
He has performed as a soloist with the Minnesota, Hallé, Moscow Symphony and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestras, the London Mozart Players, and all five of the major Irish orchestras, and performed at the Tanglewood Festival, Wigmore Hall, London, Berlin Konzerthaus, Suntory Hall, Tokyo, Lincoln Center, New York, Symphony Hall, Boston and Pesti Vigadó in Budapest. 2016/17 engagements include début concerto performances with the City of London Sinfonia and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra in Florida and a début concert at the Tokyo Spring Festival.
His critically acclaimed début solo album, The Irish Piano, was released in 2012 by RTÉ lyric FM and selected as ‘CD of the Week’ by the critic Norman Lebrecht. More recent solo releases include Schubert: Four Impromptus on Ergodos, Miniatures and Modulations on Grand Piano, and a first orchestral album, Irish Piano Concertos, featuring works by John Field and Philip Hammond with the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra and conductor Courtney Lewis.
His discography also includes releases on Delos, Nimbus Alliance, Champs Hill, Lorelt, Louth CMS and six duo recital albums on Chandos with clarinettist Michael Collins. Upcoming projects include a recording of Strauss’s ‘Burleske’ with the BBC Symphony Orchestra on Chandos.
Michael collaborates regularly with Sir James Galway, Michael Collins, Barry Douglas, Patricia Rozario, Dame Felicity Lott, the McGill/McHale Trio and Camerata Pacifica.
