Not content with appearing in this month’s X-Files reboot, Gillian Anderson has started filming the third series of the RTÉ/BBC crime drama, The Fall, in Belfast with Jamie Doran returning as her serial-killing adversary, Paul Spector.
Joining the cast are Krister Henriksson, AKA Kurt Wallander; Rebellion star Ruth Bradley; the Irish stand-up who’s hit the jackpot with Trollied, Aisling Bea and Aidan McArdle who’s enjoyed considerable success with Mr. Selfridge. Anderson plays Superintendent Stella Gibson whose voracious sexual appetite has not endeared her to her superiors.
The BBC’s most-watched drama of 2014, the series has been sold to over 200 countries, and scared the proverbial out of us last time round.
