Sebastian Schub announces debut EP Sing Like Madonna

German-born songwriter Sebastian Schub has announced his debut EP, Sing Like Madonna, set for release on June 6.

The announcement comes as Schub releases a new single from the record, 'Scared of Screaming' and gears up for a headline gig in The Academy 2 tomorrow night.

"I think 'Scared of Screaming' is more dear to me than any song on this EP," he said. "The lyrics were slowly gathering on a note on my phone and for a long time I was struggling to find a home for them that felt appropriate, until I met the wonderful Dann Hume and Theo Hutchcraft."

"Dann got out his sweet and sultry baritone guitar and two hours later the song was done."

Originally pursuing an acting career, Schub busked in London and in Dublin to support himself, playing covers on the streets and the occasional pub.

Eventually putting together a set of his original music for the starting point of many great musicians - the Spiritual bar in Camden - Schub's music went viral overnight after he began sharing it online.
