The Stars Of Heaven give away their albums!

The legendary Stars Of Heaven are giving away their equally legendary Sacred Heart Hotel and Speak Slowly albums online.
“Although Independent Records re-released them a couple of years ago, these tunes are no longer finding new ears and being honest it's increasingly hard to sell them on CD,” says label head honcho Dave O’Grady. “So with the permission of the band who own these recordings, we’ve decided to make the albums available for free as a digital download.”

For the under-40s among you, the Dublin quartet signed to Rough Trade in 1985, with John Peel – but sadly not the wider listening public – among their champions.
Also due through Independent next month is a 10th anniversary re-mastering and re-packaging of The Prayer Boat’s Polichinelle, which mainman Emmett Tinley performs in its entirety in Whelan’s on October 14.
