The Script debut at No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart with Satellites
The record was released on August 16.
The Scripts’ latest album, Satellites, has officially debuted at No.1 on the Irish Album Charts. They also hit No.1 on the Independent Albums Chart.
Satellites was rated a 7/10 by Hot Press last week, saying that The Script are “confident and composed in their new iteration. With grand, spacious arrangements, the 12-track Satellites offers a seamless mix of plugged-in pop numbers.”
The record, which came out last week, marks the band’s first release since transitioning to a 4-piece, with the addition of bassist Ben Sargeant and guitarist Ben Weaver, following the tragic passing of guitarist Mark Sheehan last year.

“The Script, as a three-piece,” the band announced in May, “will never be the same, so transitioning to a four-piece feels like the right way to go.
“It is a sign of respect to leave the past as it was and not attempt to replicate it, as we simply never will.”
The Script are set to play three gigs in Dublin’s 3Arena on November 13, 14 and 15, 2024, as part of their Satellites tour. For more information, click here.
