The Revs split with management
Robert Stephenson will remain a partner in Revs Records but has parted managerial ways with the band
The Revs have severed their managerial ties with Robert Stephenson, but remain signed to the record label they jointly set up together.
"Revs Records is a 50/50 partnership between myself and the band, which is how things will remain for the time being, " Stephenson tells Hot Press. "Indeed, we're currently arranging a deal for them in Australia which everyone's very excited about. This is in addition to the deal we already have with Sony for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
"As for the other side of things, it was always part of the plan that The Revs would take on alternative management because I don't have the time to do everything that needs doing on their behalf."
Although a top 5 record here, plans to release 2002's Suck album internationally have been shelved.
"They're currently up in Donegal writing a completely new set of songs which will be presented to Sony and our other licensees around the world," Stephenson explains. "Having learned and done what they have over the past three-and-a-half-years locally, they're going to take their time and make the awesome album that I know they have in them."
