The Original Rudeboys reject Chris Bown support slot
The Dublin lads have made a stand against domestic violence.
Heartening news as rising homegrown stars The Original Rudeboys have put their principles before profit. Offered a spot supporting US hip hop star Chris Brown at his upcoming show in Dublin's O2, the trio declined, citing Brown's assault on Rihanna as the reason.
Sean Walsh explained: "Even though it’s a huge opportunity to play in the O2 with a major hip hop star and a substantial fee was offered, we are completely against Chris Brown’s assault on Rihanna. In addition, with our latest single 'Blue Eyes' being about domestic violence it goes against everything we are about as a band and supporting Chris Brown would send out the wrong message to our fans."
You can catch them on December 22, when they play two shows in The Academy.
