The First Acts Announced For Electric Picnic Trenchtown
Hot Press favourite Cian Finn will perform his outstanding album 'This Applies' in full.
Trenchtown returns to Electric Picnic again this year. It promises to deliver an immersive multi-cultural experience through music, arts, dance and cuisine.
Trenchtown's line-up is packed Irish talent that bring various styles and genres, including reggae, ska, afrobeat, hip hop and dancehall.
Galway based reggae star Cian Finn will make his debut live performance of his latest album This Applies. Multi-instrumentalist, producer and music director of Dublin's African Gospel choir, Adeniyi Allen Taylor and his Aforbeat Orchestra are set to thrill with their blend of African gospel, afrobeat and jazz.
Purveyors of reggae inspired bass music and culture, Dirty Dubsters, will be taking their live festival show to Trenchtown, joined by MC’s Kwasi, Mango and RV. Polish producer Radikal Guru will have your feet tapping with his fusion of dub and reggae along with a host of Dublin based hip hop artists including Jafaris, Dah Jevu, AIK and Damola.
Revelation Sound System are back, bringing the positive and conscious vibes to the Roots Inna Da Woods Arena, while the best in rocksteady and world music, can be found at the Treasure Beach stage.
