Eddie Vedder gives Florence Road new equipment following van theft
The Bray band had all their tour gear stolen in Los Angeles on Thursday, September 24.
Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder came to the aid of Florence Road after all of their equipment was stolen from their van in Los Angeles, following their show at The Troubadour.
The indie-rock band are currently on a US tour, with stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Cambridge.
Following the incident, the band were forced to cancel their set on Friday at Vedder's Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California. They explained the situation in an Instagram post.
"We're doing everything we can because we really, really want to play for you," the statement reads.
"We're currently working through some logistics and trying to figure out if there's any way we can still make a set happen later this weekend."

However, Vedder stepped in to supply the group with new equipment, he personally lent his guitar to singer Lily Aron, so they were able to play a new slot. Festival organisers set up a new evening slot for the band on Saturday, between Alabama Shakes and Tyler Childers.
Florence Road shared photos with Vedder on their Instagram following their Saturday set. Aron thanked him in the caption;
"What an insane 48 hours!!! We couldn’t be more grateful to Eddie Vedder and the whole team at Ohana Festival.
"We were met with such kindness, and the second Eddie heard our guitars were stolen he insisted that I play his. A true gentleman."

Formed in 2019, the group comprises Aron (vocals), Hannah Kelly (drums), Emma Brandon (guitarist), and Ailbhe Barry (bassist). They are named after a road in their hometown of Bray, Co. Wicklow.
Their debut EP, Spring Forward, was released in March 2026. Florence Road have previously supported Olivia Rodrigo and Wolf Alice, they performed a set at Electric Picnic in August.
They have an upcoming Irish tour, which includes dates in Cork, Kilkenny, Galway, Limerick, and Belfast. The band will conclude with two shows in the 3Olympia, Dublin, on December 15 and 16.
