John Peel's favourite band play three dates this July.
There’s joyous news for Mark E. Smith with the old curmudgeon – that’s a compliment by the way! – brining the 856th version of The Fall to The Button Factory, Dublin (July 19); Roisin Dubh, Galway (20) and The Pavilion, Cork (21).
In a meeting of wonderfully warped musical minds – that’s another compliment! – Smith recently guested on Ginger from The Wildhearts’ new solo album, Mutation. The pictorial proof is supplied here by the latter’s manager Gav McCaughey. “I started writing and demoing Mutation in May with members of Cardiacs, Napalm Death, Young Legionnaire and Hawk Eyes,” Ginger tells love-it-loud.com. “It is an insane body of work which I can’t wait to unleash.”
We await the results with bated breath!
