The Cure release new single 'A Fragile Thing' from upcoming album along with tracklist
The record marks the bands first LP since 2008 and is set to be released on November 1
New single 'A Fragile Thing' is the second release from upcoming album by The Cure, Songs of a Lost World. Opening track 'Alone' was released at the end of September.
The track list has also been revealed by the band containing eight songs in total. The record marks the bands first LP since 2008 and is set to be released on November 1.
The band took to their Instagram to tease the track a few days prior to the release.
"A Fragile Thing is driven by the difficulties we face in choosing between mutually exclusive needs and how we deal with the futile regret that can follow these choices, however sure we are that the right choices have been made... it can often be very hard to be the person that you really need to be,” frontman Robert Smith said of the new song.
The Cure have paved the way for gothic rock since the release of their first album Three Imaginary Boys in 1979. With 13 studio LPs and over 30 million records sold worldwide, The Cure's new album is a highly anticipated release.
Songs of a Lost World is available for pre-order now.
