The Band's Robbie Robertson schedules new solo album
The album, Robertson's first solo release in over a decade, is due out in April
Robbie Robertson, one of the founder member of The Band, who enjoyed considerable success as Bob Dylan's backing band as well as in their own right, is to release his first solo album in over a decade.
The album is scheduled for release on April 5. It's to be titled How To Become Clairvoyant, and will be on the 429 Records label. It has guest appearances from Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood, Tom Morello and Trent Reznor, and also features well-known session bassist Pino Palladino and drummer Ian Thomas.
Co-produced by Robertson with Marius de Vries, How To Become Clairvoyant will be his fifth solo album. Clapton has co-written three tracks with Robertson, and additional vocal support comes from Angela McCluskey, Rocco Deluca, Dana Glover and Taylor Goldsmith of Dawes.
