Alestorm announce Dublin and Belfast headline shows for January 2027
Scottish pirate metal band Alestorm have announced Irish headline shows for January 2027, with dates confirmed for Belfast's Ulster Hall and Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre.
The band will perform at the Ulster Hall on Tuesday, January 25, before heading to the 3Olympia Theatre on Wednesday, January 27. Finnish heavy metal outfit Battle Beast and Scottish metal band Wizardthrone will join both dates as special guests.
Formed in Perth, Scotland, in 2004, Alestorm have built an international following with their self-described "pirate metal" sound, blending power metal, folk influences and tongue-in-cheek lyrics centred on seafaring adventures, drinking and piracy.
Since the release of their debut album Captain Morgan's Revenge in 2008, the band have built a devoted international fanbase with their blend of power metal and tongue-in-cheek pirate-themed anthems.
The band have released eight studio albums to date, most recently The Thunderfist Chronicles which was released in 2025. The group currently consists of lead vocalist/keytarist Christopher Bowes, bassist Gareth Murdock, drummer Peter Alcorn, keyboardist/harsh vocalist Elliot Vernon and guitarist Máté "Bobo" Bodor.
The newly announced Irish dates form part of the band's upcoming European tour.
