The aftermath are back

Geography and underwear. Is there a connection? Judging by the title of their next single, The Aftermath can provide the answer. ‘Northern Lingerie’ is due for release on May 1, and has been remastered in London’s Metropolis Studios by John Davis of Kaiser Chiefs, The Ting Tings, Bloc Party, Led Zeppelin, U2 and The Smiths renown . Three previously unreleased songs clinch the deal. The band play their first UK gig of 2009 at the Brudenell Social Club, Leeds on Friday April 3. They plan to film the show and release it later this year on DVD. They’ll be joined on the night by up and coming Leeds outfit The Ladyboys and Ready Steady Go DJs. Galway quartet –it figures – Disconnect 4 are busy recording with Kitsuné producer/Cazals member Martin Dubka. Dublin’s The Riptide Movement unleash debut album What About The Tip Jars? on the listening public on April 30.
