Thanks, Dad: Father of Albert Hammond Jr. breaks news of a new The Strokes album with Rick Rubin
Albert Hammond, the father of Albert Hammond Jr., has revealed that The Strokes are working on a new album with Rick Ruben.
In a new interview with The West Australian, Albert Hammond, the father of Albert Hammond Jr., has revealed that The Strokes are working on a new album with Rick Rubin.
Albert Hammond broke the news by saying: “They’re making a new album now with a great producer called Rick Rubin.” Hammond continued, “I speak to my son every day, and he says that they’re so happy.”
It seems like Albert Hammond Jr. might want to get his dad to sign some sort of Non-Disclosure Agreement, because this is not the first time that Albert Hammond has been the first to break the news about the New York rockers.
Back in 2012, it was Albert Hammond who revealed that the band was working on the album that would eventually become 2013’s Comedown Machine.
So far, there has been no confirmation from The Strokes management.
While you are waiting on that, I am sure that Albert Hammond will be willing to tell you whatever stories you want to hear. If you ask nicely, Albert Hammond might break out his album of embarrassing baby photos.
Thanks, dad.
