TG4 to air Bruce Springsteen doc ahead of Croke Park shows

Hot Press' Christmas came early last year when we were one of the first to get our hands on The Ties That Bind, an awesome collection of CDs, DVDs and various other accoutrements based around Bruce Springsteen's The River.
Now, the main documentary from which the collection takes its name will be screened on TG4, in advance of The Boss landing in Croke Park at the end of the month.
Employing an intimate interview style, it offers an inside look into the creation of the seminal album, as Bruce reflects on the developments of tracks from the notebook through the studio and onto the stage. There's also bucketloads of rehearsal clips and live footage, as well as acoustic renditions of some of the standout cuts.
The perfect way to warm up for his Croke Park spectaculars, the doc airs at 22:10 on Saturday, May 21.
