Progress remains immovable at the summit
The second fastest-selling album in UK chart history (yes, number one is still Be Here Now) continues to reign supreme as we enter the Christmas period. Progress, Take That's first studio album since Robbie Williams rejoined, is a non-mover after five weeks on the chart.
Just below it, Rihanna’s Loud regains second place, up two spots from last week. She knocks Michael Buble down a place to No. 3. The highest new entry comes from the late King Of Pop – the controversial new Michael album debuts at No. 4.
Keeping the Irish end up, Westilfe and The Script are both at No. 15 and 16 respectively.

In single news, The X Factor has triumphed over multiple adversaries - Matt Cardle's cover of Biffy Clyro's 'When We Collide' is the Christmas No. 1, despite spirited efforts from the Cage Against The Machine campaign. Cage's 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence made No. 21.
