Study Finds High Employment Rate For BIMM Grads
Since opening its doors in 2011 BIMM's Dublin branch has produced some of the country's most promising new talent.
A study by BIMM Dublin on it's class of 2015 has shown that 90% of their students have gained employment since graduation. The survey took place over the six months immediately after that class left the college looking for work in the music sector. Out of those graduates 75% of them are now employed in the music industry.
This percentage includes those working in the areas of music teaching, production or in performance as musicians and songwriters. BIMM is also proving successful at keeping the talent in Ireland with 93% of graduates working in Ireland and 61% in Dublin. The Higher Education Authority Class of 2014 report also stated that 65% of all graduates from Irish third level are employed and 82% of those are employed in Ireland.
BIMM Dublin is part of the British and Irish Modern Music Institute group and is Europe's leading contemporary music college. The group has colleges in Dublin, Brighton, London, Berlin, Bristol and Manchester. Successful applicants to the colleges can chose to study either degrees or diplomas in drums, guitar, bass, songwriting, vocals or music production. Alumni of the Dublin branch include The Academic and Little Hours.
