STREAM: New Neil Young album
Neil Young’s purple patch continues with Storytone, a gorgeous 10-track album which was assembled with the help of a big band, choir and 92-piece orchestra.
In other words, it couldn’t be any less like his Crazy Horse and Jack White-assisted recording booth efforts.
Songwriting-wise, the likes of ‘Plastic Flowers’ and 'Who's Gonna Stand Up?' wouldn’t sound out of place alongside ‘After The Gold Rush’.
If it’s all a bit too lush for you, Shakey has also put together a solo version, which also gets the Trinity Street Massive ‘thumbs up’.
