Angine de Poitrine announce Dublin show
Tickets for the Dublin gig go on sale Thursday, April 2 at 10AM
Rock band Angine de Poitrine have announced they will play Dublin's Opium on October 16.
Known for their unique image, the duo formed in 2019 and feature the band's two members performing under the pseudonyms Khn de Poitrine (guitar, bass, and looping) and Klek de Poitrine (drums).
Angine de Poitrine combines experimental rock with microtonal math rock and performance art, using nonstandard tuning systems, complex rhythms, and largely instrumental compositions.
Their live performances feature the musicians performing in oversized papier-mâché masks with proboscis monkey noses alongside black-and-white polka-dot-style costumes and staging.
The shows follow the pair going viral over the past two years and winning over fans from their performance on Live on KEXP, which has already amassed over 3.3 million views.
Their new album, Vol. II, is set to arrive on Friday, April 3, featuring six songs, ‘Mata Zyklek’, ‘Sarniezz’, ‘UTZP’, ‘Yor Zarad’, ‘Angor’ and the recently released ‘Fabienk’.
As well as the Dublin gig, Angine De Poitrine will tour the UK and France, followed by dates in Canada and their first shows in the United States in August.
Tickets for the Dublin show go on sale Thursday, April 2 at 10AM via Ticketmaster.ie.
