Static-X announce new Dublin and Belfast shows
Tickets will go on sale this Friday, February 6.
American '90s metal band Static-X have announced headline Dublin and Belfast shows, set to take place at The Academy on June 15 and Limelight on June 16.
Static-X were formed in Los Angeles in 1994 by lead vocalist Wayne Static and drummer Ken Jay. They released their debut album Wisconsin Death Trip in 1999, and went on to release five more over the course of the next decade, with Machine in 2001, Shadow Zone in in 2003, Start A War in 2005, Cannibal in 2007, and Cult Of Static in 2009.
The band took a break in 2012, before the death of Wayne Static in 2014. They reformed for the 20th anniversary of their debut album in 2018, kicking off their tour with the lineup made up of original Static-X members Tony Campos, Koichi Fukuda, and Ken Jay, backed by new frontman Xer0.
Last year, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of the record by releasing a limited-edition box set, featuring fully remastered audio and unreleased photos.
Tickets for their Dublin and Belfast shows will go on sale this Friday, February 6.
