Its the first track from their upcoming second album.
St. Paul and the Broken Bones have released their new single, 'All I Wonder'. The single is the first from their forthcoming sophomore record, Sea of Noise, due out later this year.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly frontman Paul Janeway said he has taken inspiration for the new album from issues in society such as views on gender norms and railing against the constant stimulation of people and their short attention spans. He thought, "'I can’t make another record about heartbreak and sadness because I’m a happily married man.’ I wanted new sounds and ideas."
Janeway added some of the subject material covered by the album may prove controversial. "I warned the band with this record: There are going to be people that don’t like it, especially where we’re from. I mean, even within my family. But you have to write what’s on your heart, and if it ruins family Christmas, then it ruins family Christmas". Sea of Noise will be released on September 9 2016.
The 8 piece soul and rock band formed in Birmingham, Alabama in 2012. Their 2014 debut album Half The City received widespread critical acclaim in the US. They began to tour extensively on both sides of the Atlantic including support slots for The Rolling Stones.
The band are currently on tour in the UK including dates in London, Manchester and a slot at Glastonbury. No Irish dates are included in the current tour. Stream the track from their Soundcloud page below.
