Sound & Vision funding announced by BAI

More than €5m worth of funding has been announced for 123 projects around Ireland in the latest round of the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland's Sound & Vision scheme.
The events of 1916 features heavily among the projects awarded significant boosts; three television series based on the Rising have been funded. Generation is a five part series to air on RTÉ, Wrecking the Rising is TG4's take, while TV3's Trial of the Century will focus on what would have happened had the leaders been put on trial.
The Breadwinner, an effort by Oscar nominees Cartoon Saloon, is destined for TG4, while RTÉjr's Kiva Can Do is another animation that claims a significant bursary.
