Somebody's Child unveils an ode to younger years 'Top Drawer Romance'
Somebody's Child continues streak of singles about youthful reflection.
Dublin native Cian Godfrey a.k.a. Somebody’s Child, is back with a new single, 'Top Drawer Romance.' The single is part of his acclaimed debut EP 20-Something, released earlier this year.
"‘Top Drawer Romance’ is the song that started this project in my bedroom 3 years ago," he said. "The Top Drawer reference is a metaphor for that messy relationship everyone goes to at some point in their life, which reminded me of the state of the top drawer of my bedside table in college at the time.”
His single is an indie rock excursion and fierce statement about the fleeting nature of young romance. ‘Top Drawer Romance’ is a metaphor for an untidy drawer that continues to end up a mess of personal items.
Today, Somebody's Child has also dropped the news that he signed to the iconic Scruff of the Neck Records.
