Skinny Living are set to headline Belfast Ulster Hall this November
The announcement comes along with the release of the bands debut album Day by Day
Three-piece English indie soul band Skinny Living are performing in Ulster Hall, Belfast on November 23 later this year.
The band's sound is defined by acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies delivered by Wakefield natives Will Booth and Danny Hepworth, with vocals and lyricism from frontman Ryan Johnston.
The gig will be something of a homecoming for Johnston, since he was born in Belfast to a Catholic mother and a Protestant father and then moved to England in his youth, where he met Booth and Hepworth at an open mic night and formed the band.
Skinny Living have previously opened for Busted and James Arthur, and their music has over 85 million streams worldwide.
The band is named after the definition of skinny living in Urban Dictionary which defines it as “a term that describes the financial reality and lifestyle of the working class” and a “hard graft on a low income with a lust for life, passion for family and an optimistic attitude about the future.”
Their debut album Day by Day shines a light on relationships between family and close friends and deals with the triumphs and mistakes they make along the way.

The LP is strongly influenced by soul music, and draws inspiration from timeless indie, folk, pop, RnB and alternative music.
Skinny Living will be releasing Day by Day on October 11, with exclusive early access tickets available for the Belfast show when you pre-order the album.
Tickets will be available here on Friday 24 May.
