Skindred - Kill The Power
Welsh ragga-metal band release powerful new album
Since bursting onto the rock scene in 1998, Welsh four-piece Skindred have been kicking against the pricks and cliques, bucking convention in allsorts of ways. They’ve topped the American reggae charts, received awards and accolades from magazines like Metal Hammer and played by their own rules, creating a distinctive rock/ragga/ rap mash-up. Kill The Power is their fourth record and is a diverse and diabolically good effort, full of head-crunching riffs and stadium choruses. The title-track is one of Skindred’s best to date. ‘Open Eyed’, with a guest vocal dubstep singer Jenna G, is surely a crossover hit in the making.
