Simple Kid confirmed to support The Coral
Multi-talented Corkonian, Simple Kid, will open proceedings at the Olympia on December 12
Having dazzled crowds at his recent Whelan’s performance, Simple Kid will hit the Olympia next month in the coveted support slot for The Coral (December 12).
Known to his doctor as Ciaran McFeely, the Cork-born singer/songwriter/producer/jack-of-all-trades will be playing songs from his impressive debut album, Simple Kid Number 1.
Meanwhile, less than a year after the release of their critically acclaimed Magic & Medicine album, The Coral have written and recorded a band-spanking new album. It seems these guys might be going for a record – they recorded the album in just a week, and wrote some of the songs on-the-spot at the North Wales studios.
Speaking about the forthcoming album’s title, Nightfreaks and the Sons of Becker, singer James Skelley said, "We’re Boris Becker’s illegitimate sons, travelling around the world to get money off him. We’re coming back to get the pay-off that we deserve."
Right so.
Tickets for the Olympia gig are priced from €28.50 and on sale now from the venue box office and Ticketmaster nationwide.
