Sheepdog

‘Sheepdog’, taken from the Swedes’ debut album Bring ‘Em In, exhibits the authentic raw, jagged sound the band were able to create by recording in a basement. A nice enough slice of retro rock, Mando Diao owe obvious kudos to The Hives, and there are even hints of early Beatles-style guitar. Combines enthusiasm and infectious hooks, but it’ll be interesting to see how they fare in this saturated market of ‘50s-pop revivalists.
