Sharon Corr to appear at 46664 Arctic benefit concert
The Corrs' fiddler will be joining a host of high profile performers at Nelson Mandela's 46664 concert in Norway
Sharon Corr flies the flag for Ireland at 46664 Arctic, a star-studded HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising concert taking place in Tromso, Norway on June 11.
Timed to coincide with the next G8 summit, the guest of honour will be Nelson Mandela who was the inspiration for the first 4666 gig in South Africa.
Along with Corr, the line-up includes Brian May, Angelique Kidjo, Bongo Maffin, Johnny Clegg, Ladysmith Black Mambaza, Razorlight, Robert Plant & Strange Sensation, Zucchero and a host of Scandinavian stars.
There will also be messages from Bill Clinton, Bob Geldof, Bono, Brad Pitt, Chris Martin, Robert de Niro and Will Smith calling on the world to do more to address infant mortality and the impact of HIV/AIDS on children.
