Sex Pistols announce 50th anniversary Dublin gig
Fans can look forward to Anarchy In 3Arena on December 7
The Sex Pistols are marking the 50th anniversary of British punk - and Christmas! - with an Anarchy In The UK (And Ireland) run of dates which kicks off on December 7 in the Dublin 3Arena. Tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday February 27.
Steve Jones, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock and new-ish singer Frank Carter then head to Corn Exchange, Edinburgh (9); O2 Academy, Dublin (10); Academy, Brixton (18); and Eventim Apollo, London (20).

Talking about the Rotten-less Pistols, Steve Jones observes: “If it ain’t fun, I ain’t doing it. I’m too old for bullshit.”
Here's a very illuminating chat we had with Steve from the archives: https://www.hotpress.com/music/interview-ex-pistol-steve-jones-talks-malcolm-sid-lemmy-dylan-chrissie-hynde-roy-orbison-19486231
Recalling the tumultuous events of 1976, fellow founder member Paul Cook says: "It was kind of like a commando raid. I don't even think a lot of places knew we were playing there. We just turned up and set up. It was all a learning curve for us - getting out there and playing live - we were learning on the job.
“With Anarchy, I think we tapped into a feeling of unrest around the country at the time. The message was pretty simple - just have a go and get out there and do whatever you want to do. It was a new world."
The alliance with Johnny Rotten/Lydon well and truly severed, the rest of the guys drafted in Frank Carter, the former Gallows and Rattlesnakes man who's slotted in seamlessly.
