Joy Rider: “Seven Sisters E.P.” (Paradox Records)
Managing to avoid accusations of being just boring old punk revivalists, with the ‘Seven Sisters E.P.’ Joy Rider dish out a bruising, cacophonic, anarchic and frenetic thirteen minutes replete with delightfully quirky and offbeat guitar and some speedy techno electronics. At times there’s a hint of the wrong kind of desperation but Joy Rider shouldn’t worry. They’re emerging as a really exciting prospect in ‘95.
