Rory Gallagher to appear at the Irish Arts Centre in Hammersmith

Christmas comes early for Rory Gallagher fans when the Irish Arts Centre in Hammersmith plays host to the first London Rory convention.

Running from November 28 to 30, the highlights include live sets from Sinnerboy, Chris Newman, Lou Martin and Omega Child.

Add in a Fender guitar workshop – there's a Stratocaster to be won! – a talk by Rory biographer Jean-Noel Coghe and a rake of films, workshops and exhibitions, and it promises to be an amazing weekend.

The other big Rory news is the November 24 release of Meeting With The G-Man, a recording of a December 1993 show in the Paradiso Club, Amsterdam which includes such classics as 'Messin' With The Kid', 'She Moved Through The Fair', 'Moonchild' and 'The Loop'.
