Genre-Splicing Duo Deliver The Goods
Made are a Dublin-based Irish/Malaysian brother/sister duo. Their new EP Rocksteady and is a genre-straddling aural feast. Peppering the pot are dub, ska, reggae and soul influences but the music retains an impressively chilled-out vibe. The title track is the pick of the bunch and features some beautiful, silky vocals courtesy of Aminah Dastan, but the horn-laden, psychedelia of ‘Left-Handed’ give it a close run for its money. If you love the likes of King Tubby and Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, then check this out. Consider our appetites whetted for a full length LP.
