Robbie Williams releases new single 'Spies' and reveals track list for upcoming album
New album Britpop is out on October 10
Robbie Williams has released his new single 'Spies' and shared the track list for his upcoming album BRITPOP, which will be released on October 10.
Described as "an anthemic and uplifting guitar-driven indie pop song." 'Spies' is the second to be shared from the forthcoming record, following the previously released 'Rocket.'
The BRITPOP stadium tour is coming to Croke Park on August 23, and tickets can be found here. Fans who pre-order the album will get access to pre-sale of future gigs.
"I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995," said Williams.
"It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British music. The new record is raw, there are more guitars and it’s even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. I’m immensely proud of this as a body of work and I’m excited for fans to hear this album,"
The BRITPOP cover art is a nod to the Britpop era itself. The 'Rock DJ' singer is sporting a red tracksuit he wore to Glastonbury in 1995, the year Oasis were headliners.
