Religious Knowledge hits Galway
The hit comedy returns after 18 years...
Religious Knowledge, Eamonn Kelly's hugely popular one-act comedy makes its grand return to its original venue of The King's Head in Galway for two nights only on January 8 and 9.
Set in a classroom, it features Gerry Conneely as 'the Brother', and Gary McSweeney, Tommy Tiernan & Philip Sweeney as his hapless pupils. The year is 1970, Dana has just won the Eurovision and the Brother is attempting to educate Messers Fogarty, Dunphy and McQuaid about life and its various facts.
With the original cast back together again, this special re-staging of the show is part nostalgic celebration and part class reunion, as directed by Fiona Kelly. Having wowed lunchtime crowds for over two years in the early 90's, it's a very welcome return indeed.
Tickets priced €10 are on sale now from The King's Head pub in Galway.
