Friendship will be with us in March.
The Redneck Manifesto have confirmed the March 26 release of Friendship, their first album for six years.
It’s coming out on Richter Collective, the Dublin indie label that’s also home to such fine outfits as Adebisi Shank, BATS, Not Squares and Jogging.
Comparing themselves to a “psychedeluc Kraut-rock band jamming with The Meters”, the band reconvened last year in France’s Black Box Studios with former Frames man Dave Odlum at the production helm.
“The sound of the record comes a lot from the result of processing modern instruments, like an andromeda synth, through old vintage effects boxes, filters and speakers, like a Leslie cabinet," explains Redneck Matthew Bolger. “It still sounds like TRM but we've never sounded as good on record before.”
The ten new tunes will be available on CD Digipak, gatefold vinyl and MP3 download.
The official launch party takes place in Tripod, Dublin on March 27 with a same day 3pm Tower Records, Wicklow Street instore.
The full track-listing is ‘Black Apple’, ‘Smile More’, ‘Drum Drum’, ‘Little Nose’, ‘Tomb Of The Dudes’, ‘Hex’, ‘Rubber Up’, ‘Weird Waters’, ‘Click’ and ‘Cloud Beard’.
