Red Labels win Galway JD Set
The final heats of The JD Set saw Dublin's Red Labels crowned the winners. The band now join the winners of the previous heats for the April final.
Last week the final heats of The JD Set took place in Galway, with six short-listed bands competing to reach the competition final on April 23.
Although the judges – including HP's John Donnelan, Gugai from Roisin Dubh, and Josh Clarke from iRadio – were impressed by the talent on display, Saccade, Woodster, The DLS, Red Kid and The Ralphs were all beaten out in the end by Red Labels, who now go on to the Crawdaddy final.
The Galway winners will compete in the The JD Set final against:
The Chapman Society (Dublin Winners)
The People (Cork Winners)
Floyd Soul and The Wolf (Waterford Winners)
and Camogie Lovers (Limerick Winners)
The Crawdaddy final takes place on April 23, with free entry. For more see www.thejdset.ie.
