Red hot and confirmed
hotpress.com News Scoopage Dept: as we told you a while ago, Red Hot Chili Peppers are indeed headlining Slane. Hate to say we told you so
We're pleased to say that we got it spot on a few weeks back when we revealed that Slane 2003 will be headlined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Although the official announcement has yet to be made, the band's participation in the August 23 shindig is a done deal, and should see a capacity 80,000 crowd flocking to Lord Henry's gaff.
Speculation now turns to the supporting cast with The Frames strongly mooted for the "special guest" slot. There's also talk of a spot on the bill for Queens Of The Stone Age who were so impressive before Christmas at the Ambassador.
