Red and white and rock'n'roll
The White Stripes are confirmed for Witnness '03. A hotpress.com exclusive
hotpress.com have just learned that The White Stripes have been added to the Sunday night bill of Witnness 2003.
The neo-blues mavericks will bring four albums' worth of great tunes - not least off of fourth LP Elephant, their recent international number one smash - to Punchestown Racecourse, where they will be second on the bill on the main stage, just before Sunday night headliner David Gray.
So that means the White Stripes will be joining the following bands at Witnness 2003 (hang onto yer hats):
Coldplay... David Gray... Manic Street Preachers... Underworld... Badly Drawn Boy... Zwan... The Streets... Supergrass... The Flaming Lips... Lemon Jelly... Royksopp... The Polyphonic Spree... Sugababes... Turin Brakes... The Roots... The Datsuns... The Thrills... Death in Vegas... The Revs... Echo & the Bunnymen... Richie Hawtin... The Walls... Snow Patrol... The Cardigans... Nightmares on Wax... Calexico... Ed Harcourt... Ladytron... Beth Gibbons & Rustin Man... Har Mar Superstar... The Rapture... DJ Sneak... Laurent Garnier... Appleton...
