Randy Newman for Vicar St
That most celebrated of American tunesmiths, Randy Newman, makes a long overdue return to Dublin on March 20 for an intimate gig in Vicar St.
Originally the supplier of hits for people like Gene Pitney, Judy Collins, Manfred Mann, Frankie Laine, The Walker Brothers and The Nashville Teens, Newman decided to step up to the mike himself in the '70s and immediately enjoyed top 10 success with 'Short People' and 'It's The Money I Want'.
The '80s saw him become one of the most in-demand soundtrack people around with Trouble In Paradise's 'I Love LA' earning him an Oscar Nomination.
One of the lyrical greats, he's just released Volume One of his Randy Newman Songbook trilogy. Tickets for the Vicar St. show are on sale now priced € 45.
