'Project 50' fundraiser tomorrow night
All funds will go towards improving conditions in refugee camps in Yemen and Kenya.
Tomorrow night (Friday January 21) will see a fundraiser for Somali Refugees (Project 50) take place in Dublin's Twisted Pepper.
The venue will play host a a photography slideshow exhibition from photographer Phil Behan, with images from Kharaz Refugee camp in Yemen. There will also be a UN/UNHCR short video on the current Somali refugee situation in Kenya (Dabaad Camp), and a talk from Ms Ifrah Ahmed, on her experiences as a refugee fleeing Somalia.
All profits made on the night will be donated directly to the Save the Children Foundation - working to improve conditions in the refugee camps of Kharaz camp in Yemen, and Dabaad camp in Kenya.
The night will run from 7pm - 10pm. Admission is €10 (suggested donation).
