Pop corner: Westlife in America and B*Witched official split
October 13 finds Westlife lining up alongside Usher, Mya and Miss Piggy at a charity show in Los Angeles.
Louis Walsh's charges are performing a cover of The Bee Gees' 'Staying Alive' at The Disco Ball – A 30th Anniversary Celebration, which will benefit the LA AIDS Project.
Elsewhere on Planet Pop, B*Witched confirmed this week that they've split.
"B*Witched is officially over but I still have to carry on," reveals group member Sinéad Carroll. "I'm currently getting ready to launch a solo career and since leaving have started working on some solo material which I hope to release by the end of the year."
Rumours of their demise have been rife since their Awake & Breathe album failed to repeat the number one success of its eponymous predecessor.
Work on a third record was curtailed after Sony Music gave a 'thumbs down' to the demos.
