Pooh Shiesty has been arrested for allegedly robbing Gucci Mane.
The Memphis rapper was arrested on Wednesday, along with fellow performer Big30 and several other individuals. TMZ has reported that representatives of the US Justice Department have said that the group swarmed a Dallas-based recording studio on January 10, robbing Mane and several others in attendance.
Shiesty and Big30 are among nine suspects allegedly involved. Additionally, Shiesty's father Lontrell Williams Sr., was also arrested.
Authorities accuse Shiesty of arranging a meeting with Mane under the guise of discussing contract terms, to then execute the armed 'invasion'. Shiesty signed with Mane's 1017 label in 2020. His mixtape Shiesty Season was released in 2021.
Shiesty was also arrested and charged in 2022 for firearms conspiracy, to which he plead guilty. He was sentenced to five years in prison. However he was released after three. At the time of the attack in January, he was – in theory at least – under house arrest.
His latest single, 'FDO', was released in October, and reached No. 12 on the US Hot 100 chart.
