Picture This sells out December Killarney show in just 180 seconds
Tickets went on sale this morning at 9am and were gone within 3 minutes according to Gleneagle INEC Arena reps.
Irish band Picture This, who was featured on the cover of Hot Press earlier this year became the first act to sell out the new Gleneagle INEC Arena in Killarney in a mere three minutes.
Mark Egan, Director of Entertainment for the venue spoke of the sell-out show. “Picture This last played with us in 2017 where they became the fastest ever act to see out the INEC for 2 consecutive shows,” he recalled. “Since then they have become stratospheric and it is no surprise that they have sold out the venue for a third time.”
Drummer Jimmy Rainsford wrote on Twitter that arena, “means a lot to us and so does that part of the country.”
This isn’t the first time Picture This has broken records with their live show. Last March, the band had a record-shattering five consecutive shows at Dublin’s 3Arena.
Their latest album, released earlier this year was received with high praise.
“From thumping vocodery start (‘Modern Love’) to romantic card on the tables finish (‘Everything Or Nothing’), it’s an all killer, no filler collection of pop tunes that matches the band’s stated ambition of becoming one of the biggest bands in the world,” writes Hot Press’s Stuart Clark.
For those lucky enough to have gotten a ticket, the show will be on 20 December at 9pm.
