Philomena Lynott for Westport and Athlone
A busy weekend ahead for the My Boy author...
Philomena Lynott has spent the past few months touring the country in support of her book My Boy: The True Story Of Philip Lynott And The Family He Never Knew, meeting Thin Lizzy and literature fans wherever she goes.
This weekend - October 7 and 8 - sees Philomena travel first to Westport on Friday October 7 for the Westport Arts Festival where she will be reading from and signing copies of My Boy at the Westport Plaza Hotel on Castlebar St. at 8pm. Tickets are priced €7 and are available here.
The following night she will be joined by co-author Jackie Hayden at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on Clonown Road in Athlone as part of the Athlone Literary Festival. That event also takes place at 8pm. Music will be provided by Ciaran Burke and friends, while Michael Harding, author of Displaced In Mullingar will be reading from his weekly Irish Times column.
