Peter Doherty announces new solo album Felt Better Alive and shares title track
Watch the video for 'Felt Better Alive' below
Following the release of The Libertines' acclaimed All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade last year, Peter Doherty is back with a new solo album, Felt Better Alive – out May 16 on his own record label, Strap Originals.
To coincide with the news, Doherty has shared the title track from the project, alongside an accompanying music video.
"It's an accurate description of how I feel about certain times in my life, y'know?" the renowned artist says of the release. "Treasures of the Sierra Madre: you set off on this mission for the gold and you just ended up lost in the mountains, being hunted by bandits."
Felt Better Alive is Doherty's first solo album in nine years, following 2016's Hamburg Demonstrations. In 2019, he released a self-titled project under his musical project Peter Doherty & The Puta Madres, and in 2022, teamed up with French singer-songwriter Frédéric Lo for The Fantasy Life of Poetry & Crime.
The new album features contributions from Doherty's friend, producer/musician Mike Moore, known for his work with Liam Gallagher.
Felt Better Alive will be available on CD, 12” vinyl in limited edition coloured variants, deluxe double vinyl, cassette and digital download with exclusive and signed items from his official store.
