Madness release new trailer for Take It Or Leave It
Originally released alongside the band's third album Seven, the film features foundational figures, including John Hasler, Andrew Chalk, Ian Tokins, Simon Birdsall and producer Clive Langer.
Madness has released a new trailer for Take It Or Leave It.
Originally released in 1981, it has since been restored and tells the story of how Madness came together.
Restored in 4K by the British Film Institute (BFI), it will return to cinemas in the UK and Ireland on October 2. Following on October 19 is the release of a DVD edition.
Take It Or Leave It was filmed after the band had enjoyed many Top 10 singles - such as 'One Step Beyond' in 1979 - and grew in popularity with the British public. The film follows how the seven friends living in Camden Town in the late 70s formed the band - the jobs they left behind, the line-up changes and how their ska-pop sound evolved.
Directed by Stiff Records founder Dave Robinson in his feature film debut, Take It Or Leave It is described by the BFI as "More than a rock film, it's a snapshot of late-70s Camden and a celebration of the idea that a bunch of ordinary mates could start a band and end up making music history.
