Performers for Palestine concert to take place in Belfast
The musician-led event will raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestine, featuring performances and spoken word poetry from artists across the north of Ireland.
Fundraising concert Performers for Palestine will take place at the Oh Yeah Music Centre in Belfast on October 11.
This event is part of a musician-led initiative to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP), with a lineup of Northern Ireland-based artists and writers.
Confirmed performers include Duke Special with Chip Bailey, Ciaran Lavery, Leo Miyagee, Malojian, and BFrank (featuring Susie of Susie Blue). In addition, the event will feature powerful readings and poetry from Shirley-Anne McMillan, Joe Nawaz, and Stuart Bailie.
“As a fellow human being, I am standing alongside other performers in Belfast, in solidarity with the people of Palestine,” said Duke Special. “I hope you will join us to raise money for Medical Aid for Palestinians.”
Stuart Bailie, former Hot Press contributor and co-founder of Oh Yeah said: “Performers for Palestine is the work of music people in the north who want to support humanitarian efforts and demonstrate solidarity with Palestine… The standard of music on the bill is excellent. These are voices that must be heard”
Tickets for the concert are priced at £15 and can be purchased via Eventbrite.
