Peggy Seeger and Calum MacColl announce a Dun Laoghaire show in July
The folk music legend and her son will play Dun Laoghaire's Pavilion Theatre on July 23.
Iconic folk singer-songwriter Peggy Seeger has announced that she will play an intimate gig at Dun Laoghaire's Pavilion Theatre with her son, Calum MacColl, in July.
Although in her 80s, Seeger's musicianship, charisma and wit remain undiminished. MacColl, an exceptional musician in his own right, will join his mother for an evening featuring some of her and Ewan MacColl's most beloved songs, as well as readings from her critically acclaimed memoir, The First Time Ever.
Seeger, a prolific folksinger in both America and Britain, released her most recent solo album, and her 22nd album overall, Everything Changes in 2014. The album won the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for Original Song in 2015, for 'Swim to the Star'.
Tickets from €25 (incl. booking fee) go on sale on Wednesday March 13 at 10am. See paviliontheatre.ie for more information.
