Paul Banks for Dublin
The Interpol man visits early next year.
Interpol man Paul Banks makes a solo visit on January 20 to the Dublin Academy in support of his equally solo album, Banks, which drops in October. Tickets are €30 and go on sale on Friday September 14.
The Essex man – his family left for the States when he was three – formerly operated sans band as Julian Plenti.
“I suppose I wanted to simplify things this time around,” he explains. “Julian Plenti was something that I had to do, but once it was done, I didn't need to hold on to it. I'm just making music and hoping to let it speak for itself.”
